It’s 2015, the ink on the diploma isn’t dry yet, after one memorable internship, I get a freelance account and move to Berlin. It’s 2025, I just renewed my passport, 10 years flipped.

Spread over 7 countries across 3 continents, 16 (yay) teams trusted me to shuffle models and processes around information, optimized data pipelines to extract knowledge and drive performance, look into hundred of product discovery questions, discuss happy integrations with devops, deal with my tracking impossible specifications, wonder when the graph visualisations will make it to the tool.

I am beyond grateful to have been part on incredible products journeys, at the heart of the startup nation and in the exciting times of data tooling development.

Together,

✔️ we prevented an incredible amount of divisions by zero

✔️ we found hope again after not-yet-significant A/B tests results

✔️ we thrived through revolutions – GDPR on one side, AI on the other.

✔️ we created dozens of OKRs and I watched you hit beautiful ones

✔️ we modeled journeys, funnels, architectures to the point that I might call my future dog Miro because it’s just always there using so much of my RAM but I can’t communicate my feelings to other humans without spending time playing around with it between meetings.

Shoutout needed to the ones I was lucky to be led by the finest mentors along the way Hans Ritschl (Flaconi) Avner Nissani (Omio, CoreTec), Dominique Raute (JustWatch), Vincent Lopez (TrustAnalytics, Zalando, Strapi), Stefano Bertolo (European Commission) and later on just kept on stalking the best CPOs, CTOs, CMOs and Data Managers around : Pierre Mourier (Duproprio), Antoine Moreau (OptimoThai), Marine Vinsonneau (Omio, Smunch), Claire Idelot (LiveMentor), Frédérique Castagnac (HelloAsso).

Because I would be nothing without the stack and the world is just better with open source, let's also bow to the brains behind #airflow, #github, #dbt, #snowplow, #metabase, and #disco :disco

I am in particular very thankful to be trusted to run all this while traveling to new countries, cultures, and waves. .. still building fantastic relationships with some of those people beyond the scope of the projects and the frame a blurred google meet.

It’s been an amazing journey filled with challenges, fuckups, learning, and growth. Long tunnel weeks for part-time beach life. Sometimes delivered from the van : applied research in work-life balance and mental health for millennials.

Cheers to another year of picking challenges, things to automate, and carving information into value, to create informed spaces for you beautiful humans to do what you do best : the human part.
